I have secured organic dried whole red reishi mushrooms for Organica. These are safe, tested, and valued for their truly medicinal qualities. Enjoy this video and if you want to make Crockpot Reishi Medicine for yourself and family, come in- we now have them!

Crockpot Reishi Medicine-

A daily shot of this concentrated recipe is such an amazing natural medicine. Set aside a daily dose for 3 days or so and freeze the rest. After preparing the medicinal brew, just freeze the rest in ice cube trays. Every day you can simply dissolve a cube in water and drink it like a “shot”.

I am advancing this recipe in the video for my own use by adding some adaptogen roots along with the whole reishi, such as astragalus slices, ashwaganda, rhodiola, herbs such as this (no leaves). If you want to add herb roots into the mix, choose those with benefits particular to your health needs. Refer to my Post 4 under the Wellness Tab entitled “Adaptogen Herbs”. Mushrooms are also adaptogens. Combining adaptogen herbs and mushrooms make the perfect mix because they can be taken daily and ongoing without the need to take a break like we do with remedy herbs.

After the prepared mix is complete, while still hot, I am adding in extra mushroom extra powder from another variety like cordyceps, chaga, etc. Since these are already powdered and ready for use, I put the powdered mushroom in at the end to dissolve it the best I can and steep the whole mix for about another 45 minutes. Straining is not necessary but you can strain it if you wish. Reishi is bitter so it tastes terrible as usual and it doesn’t really matter what extra “goodness” I put in my recipe. Anyone can tolerate a shot glass of finished product. I just hold my breath and shoot it down, take a sip of water or tea, then a bite of food like banana or orange, whatever I have handy. Simple

I have an optional second mushroom mix in the store of cut mushrooms called Medicinal Mushroom Blend. You can use this mix as a stand-alone blend or add it into the whole reishi cooking process as well. Medicinal Mushroom Blend is a combination of maitake, reishi, chaga, and shiitake. This is a great way to include all of the main ones. Reishi being so important, using the whole mushroom with this blend makes it exceptional. The Medicinal Mushroom Blend is also a way to prepare an economy brew with 4 mushrooms all-in-one.

Variations to the Recipe;  You can add Astragalus Root to this recipe for added immune system benefits.  In China, Astragalus Root is known as the world’s greatest immune tonic.  Adding some White Willow Bark can give you some relief from aches and pains as well as reduce inflammation.  Adding Turmeric Rhizomes can work to reduce inflammation as well or the Anti-Inflammatory Formula in loose cut form which we also have. Don’t be afraid to add beneficial herbs to this base recipe, especially roots.
