 Leukemia 

Classification
Leukemias are classified as acute or chronic; an acute leukemia progresses more rapidly. They are also classified by the type of white blood cells in which they arise — lymphoid cells or myeloid cells. There are four primary types of leukemia:

Acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL)
Chronic lymphocytic (CLL)
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML)
Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). The initial conventional treatment of CML includes spleen x-radiation and pharmaceutical drugs, mainly Busulfan and Hydroxyurea.

There are other rare forms

Most people who choose natural healing for leukemia, use a primarily vegetarian diet;  about 70% raw to 30% cooked, or in some cases a macrobiotic diet. Some people have taken a little different approach and include clean meats and fish in small amounts and are also cancer-free. By clean meats and fish, this means no antibiotics, colors, or anything artificial including foods fed to the animals. Animals should be range fed, cage free organic, and grass finished. Fish should be wild caught. If incorporating meat or fish into your schedule, vegetables still should be at about 70-80% of your diet. All foods need to be organic or at least as many organic as your budget will allow. Avoid corn syrup. Avoid processed foods and bad oils and fats altogether. Fighting leukemia is time consuming and requires a high level of routine and discipline. As with all such programs, your diet is your medicine. The following is a general list of a common routine that has been found to be successful in many people.

Common Herbs Specific for Leukemia and Fighting Cancer

  • milk thistle
  • turmeric
  • olive leaf
  • korean red ginseng
  • black salve (taking the paste internally)
  • chaparral (not to exceed 2 grams per day)
  • astragalus root
  • herbal antibiotic formula (golden seal root, echinacea purpurea & angustifolia root, barberry, oregon grape root)
  • graviola
  • pau d arco bark
  • red clover blossoms
  • gotu kola
  • cat’s claw inner bark
  • bulpleurum root
  • **sweet wormwood
  • wheatgrass
  • barley greens
  • seaweed;  chlorella, spirulina, kelp
  • feverfew– Rochester University in New York found this herb to be more effective than the drug cytarabine
  • *scullcap (scutellaria baicalensis)
  • **sea cucumber

*Scullcap can refer to 2 herbs: American scullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora) and Chinese scullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis). Cancer treatments include Chinese Scullcap. American Scullcap is a relaxant and is more commonly used for anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Chinese Scullcap lowers high blood sugar so be aware of this if you have diabetes or low blood sugar. It is contradictory for spleen or stomach diseases. Of course always use plants properly and in moderate recommended dosages.

**Sea Cucumber and Sweet Wormwood– these two herbs are widely accepted as a very important set to include for blood diseases. Sea Cucumber fights against multiple types of cancer, including lung, pancreatic, prostate, colon, breast, skin, and liver cancers, leukemia, and glioblastoma. Sweet Wormwood is not the same plant as common Wormwood. Sweet Wormwood is Artemesia Annua L   . In its relationship to leukemia, Leukemia cells can have more than 1,000 times the concentration of iron that normal cells have. Leukemia cells are reacting to the iron content of Sweet Wormwood which is why it may be so effective to fighting this cancer. When artemisinin comes into contact with iron, a chemical reaction occurs, creating a cascade of charged atoms that are called “free radicals.” The free radicals attack cell membranes, breaking them apart. Taking Antioxidant supplements enhances this process of preventing free radical damage and oxidation.

Medicinal Mushrooms– average taken is 2.5 grams 2 x daily in water

  • Maitake
  • Cordyceps
  • Reishi
  • Polyporus
  • Turkey Tail
  • Phellinus

Juicing

Ideally, juicing and drinking it fresh each time is the best. However, this is rarely practical and if you work outside the home, basically impossible. The second best choice is to juice every 3 days, making all of your supply at once and refrigerate the juice. Juice can be frozen and used within a week or two. Try to drink 4-6 glasses of juice each day spread out throughout the day. In between juicing, drink green drinks made with one teaspoon of greens. Try to drink 2-4 green drinks each day. Both of these should be between meals and on an empty stomach. You should wait to juice 1 hour following a meal or anytime up to 30 minutes prior to eating.

Fruit & Vegetable Choices

  • carrots
  • celery
  • beet
  • garlic (use only one clove, any more is overpowering)
  • leafy greens
  • ginger root
  • juicy vegetables

Do not juice dry vegetable like broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, etc. These are best cooked. It is common consensus that carrot juice should always be consumed by those with all types of cancer. Drinking a minimum of two large glasses per day, AM and PM, is recommended. Always add a variety of vegetables to each glass.

Important Foods that Fight Cancer

  • Cottage Cheese with Fresh Ground Flax Seed Meal or High Lignan Organic Flax Seed Oil—  eaten an average of twice per day. Top with any dark berry serving
  • Garlic Cloves–  raw garlic is very important and a natural antibiotic. It is a source of sulfur as is onion. To make garlic more convenient, you can also peel cloves, RINSE THEM UNDER WATER, then place them in a mason jar of organic apple cider vinegar. This preserves them naturally and because you have rinsed off the oils using water, the cloves do not absorb hardly any of the vinegar. This makes garlic easy to add to any meal, smoothie, or juice. You can also make a pickled garlic clove by placing peeling UNRINSED garlic cloves in a jar of apple cider vinegar. Place this in the refrigerator to “cure” for 14 days. Adding spices and seasonings like black pepper, dill, mustard seed, are all flavorful additions to the curing process. You can also cut garlic up into pieces and swallow it with water throughout the day. Taking small amounts will usually set well on the stomach if you are having any indigestion from raw garlic. If it bothers your stomach, you can also take pieces like a pill as described, with meals and anytime you eat food throughout the day. Include 1-3 cloves of garlic each day as tolerated.
  • Baking Soda— take 1 teaspoon of baking soda along with 1-2 teaspoons of raw organic honey dissolved in water, AM and PM on an empty stomach. It has become common belief that all cancer is a fungus (not to be confused with medicinal mushrooms). Baking soda neutralizing fungus and improves the pH of the body. The average cancer patient has a low pH below 6 and often seen at 5. Purchase some pH strips and take your pH reading daily to track your changes. Adding honey to the baking soda causes the cancer to see the baking soda since sugar feeds cancer. You are using the baking soda and applying a trogan horse- honey. The honey attracts the cancer and the baking soda neutralizes it. You can also add this baking soda and honey to an anticancer tea in place of plain water, such as chaparral, dandelion root, Essiac, sea cucumber, sweet wormwood, etc, or whatever herb you are selecting.
  • Onions-– another great vegetable you should consume daily. Add raw onion to all salads and include it in any dish you can along with garlic. Include 1/4 to 1/2 raw onion in your meal planning every day.
  • Green Tea-–  this should be consumed during the day and tea powder can be added to any smoothie or juice.
  • Nuts and Kernels-–  include daily servings of almonds, black walnuts, and 7-10 apricot kernels. The apricot kernels can be added to smoothies or chewed and swallowed with a meal.
  • Protein Powder-– if you are not eating meat or fish, be sure to include protein powder;  either organic whey or hemp seed proteins. Chia seed is a good source of both protein and fatty acids.
  • Probiotics-– keep your gut health in check and include fermented foods in your daily diet. This includes foods like sauerkraut, kombucha, and plain yogurt with super probiotics that you prepare yourself (see POST 3)
  • Herbal Teas–  drink multiple cups of target herbal teas daily. Drink this between meals and include it as part of your water allowance.

Heavy Metals

To rule out heavy metals take 1 tablespoon of food grade bentonite in plain water once daily. Simply dissolve the clay powder in an 8 oz. glass of water and drink it. Take this on an empty stomach and do not take it with any vitamins or herbs. Clay absorbs toxicity and will also absorb your supplements and nutrients from food. It has very little taste and is easy to take.

Antioxidants

Take antioxidants with your meals including;  Vitamin A, E, & C.  For more energy, take a B Complex with each meal. A whole foods sourced multiple supplement will help with your nutritional balance.  Raw Organic Protein Powders are excellent sources of balanced nutrition and are convenient and portable when you have to leave the house for work. You have many brands to choose from these days, such as Garden of Life or Amazing Meal. Organic whole protein powders are also recommended including whey, and hemp seed proteins.

Medicinal Marijuana

Cannabis has been a healer since the beginning. Many people are unaware that our Founding Fathers grew hemp. Hemp disappeared from the American landscape only when the cotton industry and corruption eased it as a staple crop in the South. Medical Marijuana needs to have both THC and CBD, not just CBD.  One side of the plant kills cancer, the other side stops metastasis of cancer. If you are able to use this product in your state, the average dose is 1 gram per day of “Rick Simpson Oil” also referred to as hemp oil or Phoenix Tears. It takes 1 pound to 1.5 pounds of trim or whole marijuana dried plant to prepare 2 oz. of this paste. The paste is taken in doses the size of a grain of rice twice daily by simply wiping it into the mouth lining such as inside your cheek or under your tongue. For some cases 2 grams daily has been used. Expect to sleep a lot in the beginning until your body adjusts to the product. Most work up to the full dosage to reduce the side effects when too strong. But do work up as quickly as you can and continue to take this until you are cancer free. Taking it a few times a week or in lower doses after cancer free is commonly practiced by survivors.
