Lupus

Lupus is an autoimmune disease with an imbalance in the immune system. Lupus is a Th-2 Dominant illness with a weak Th-1 side of the immune system.  Some people find that by strengthening Th-1, and taking steps to calm the Th-2 side, remission can be achieved. The following material is provided as a general program. Using parts of the program may or may not be effective. Using everything together may be the best opportunity to get positive results.

Products Recommended

  1. Collagen Rx I,II,III (10 grams 1 or 2 times each day) with horsetail, and camu camu, tremella medicinal mushroom
  2. Lupus Daily Tea—  Contains;  Lemon Balm, Peppermint, Sweet Annie, Peony Root  (1-3 cups per day)
  3. Lupus Rx—   Contains;  Chlorella, Cat’s Claw, Burdock, Dandelion, Agrimony, Siberian Ginseng (cooling)  (1 teaspoon per day)
  4. Sweet Annie—  use extra of this tea during flares (3 cups daily during a flare)
  5. Lupus Mushrooms Rx-–  Contains;  Ganoderma, Maitake, Shiitake, Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps (5 grams per day)
  6. Th-2 Immune Rx—  Contains;  Astragalus Root, Echinacea Root, Licorice Root (1 teaspoon in water, 1-3 days on, 3 days off rotating)
  7. Bone Broth–  make this and drink 1 cup to 1 quart per day in 1 cup doses or use to prepare soup or stew (see Post 7)
  8. Borox–  5 DAYS a week take the following;  1/4 teaspoon borax + 1/2 teaspoon baking soda in water once daily. Also use ACV treatment along with this. Joint and head pains usually reduce within a few days to 2 weeks. This will also help to reduce the “butterfly rash” and redness or other severe skin problems.

Collagen

Collagen makes up about 1/2 of the protein in your body.  With Lupus, the threat of degrading connective tissue can be supported with a collagen supplement. When beginning collagen, expect to wait about 12 weeks to begin seeing results. Some may feel better almost immediately, but to take collagen longterm is the only way to take it as it is a building process to strengthen your connective tissue. To supplement collagen, it is important to use two different products;

  1. Collagen Rx I,II,III–  this is a blend of 3 types of collagen including hydrolyzed, which is more bioavailable than other kinds. It also includes camu camu, horsetail, and tremella mushroom for added benefits for connective tissue. Vitamin C in camu camu will improve the use of collagen and make tissue recovery more available. To supplement this you need to take a minimum of 10 grams per day.  Don’t be afraid to double up on this, AM and PM. It is simple to take and has almost no taste.  A simple dixie cup with cold water and a quick stir is all you need to do to prepare it. Just take it like a shot. Take the Collagen Shot on an empty stomach ideally and don’t eat for 30 minutes. By including Vitamin C increases the absorption of collagen increases and makes it work better and faster. Adding lemon juice (real only) or eating grapefruit slices with the collagen will support the need for vitamin C as well.
  2. Bone Broth–  all bone broth is excellent for you. If you can get past the “yuck” factor, one the best types you can make is with chicken paws or chicken feet. The best thing to do is make the recipe and just don’t look at it. It tastes like chicken broth either way but this type has the highest available collagen you can get. If you are having GI problems, this will help heal up the tissues in the tract. Using beef broth with marrow bones is also always recommended. Use this in all soups, stews, or as a cup of broth one or more times each day. Bone Broth is an excellent convalescing food, so when feeling poorly, this will help you recover quicker.

Th1 Immune Boosting Rx

This formula is a powdered formula which is taken to help promote a healthy immune system by stimulating the side that is weak in those with Lupus. It cannot be taken daily but is taken in an “on-off” supplementation.  Whether a person can take it 3 days in a row or only 1 day is based upon the individuals condition.  Ideally, 3 days on and 3 days off would be the goal. However, if only one day on is used followed by three days off, this is perfectly fine. To begin, it is recommended to start with 1 day on and 3 days off and then gradually work up to the dosage of 3 days on and 3 days off. Take this formula along with Lupus Rx.

Lupus Rx

The Lupus Rx is a powdered daily supplement which is designed to help stimulate the Th1 side of the immune system while calming the Th2 side which is overactive. To take the product, stir into any hot or cold liquid. Take it on an empty stomach and do not eat for 30 minutes

Lupus Daily Tea

Drink at least 1 cup of tea each day.  It doesn’t matter if it is consumed hot or cold, but drink it between meals without food. The tea will help promote a healthier Th1 side of the immune system.

Lupus Mushrooms Rx

Mushrooms are the earth’s great cleaners and modulators. They work gradually and usually within 1 month you will begin to notice subtle differences begin.  Begin with 2 grams per day and work up to 5 grams and remain there.  To take this product, put some warm water in a small cup (dixie cup size) and stir in the mushroom powder. Just stir and drink.  Take this again, on an empty stomach between meals or first thing in the morning and do not eat for 30 minutes.

Sweet Annie

This is an amazing plant that is excellent for cooling the body during a Lupus Flare.  The dosage is 3 cups per day during a flare. Sweet Annie is in the Lupus Daily Tea but not in the amount needed for a flare. Cook this herb on simmer, covered, for 45 minutes. Do not boil, but simmer to extract the active compounds from the plant. Use 1 tablespoon to 1 cup of distilled or filtered water. Using a shot glass, take 1 shot 3 times each day until the flare subsides, then discontinue and revert back to the Lupus Daily Tea.
