Products

No. 1  Herbal Eyewash Drops are used daily for improving vision, reducing cataracts, dry eye, clearing mucus, eye infection, and plugged tear ducts. The method is decades old and has been used by thousands of people over the years. To use the Herbal Eyewash Drops will take time.  How much time is dependent upon how advanced the problem is.  It can take anywhere from two weeks to months, in some cases use is ongoing such as for dry eye. Taking specific supplements will improve vision in ways that the external eyewash cannot reach. There are two ways the drops can be administered. DO NOT add UNDILUTED drops to your eyes.  The solution is a concentrate and used to make your preparation.

No. 2  Herbal Eyebright Capsules

Take either 2 Herbal Eyebright Formula Capsules 3 x daily or 3 capsules twice daily.  These are taken without food on an empty stomach either 1 hour prior to meals or two hours after a meal. This equals a total need of 6 pills per day. Once results are achieved, you may reduce dose down to whatever you feel is effective even as little as 1 pill per day. Most people find that 3 pills per day is a good maintenance dose.

No. 3  Lutein with Zeaxanthin   Secondly, take 2 mg. of Zeaxanthin and 20 mg of Lutein each day, now and going forward.

Free-radical damage to the eyes occurs from many reasons. Most importantly it can be from sun exposure, eye strain, computer use, and a poor diet. Most people are unaware that your eyes require a whopping 25% of the nutrition you take in to function. Two carotenoids protect your eyes;  Lutein and Zeaxanthin.  These nutrients are found in colorful vegetables, fruits, certain flowers, and shellfish. Zeaxanthin and Lutein are very important to protect the retina’s light sensitive macula cells. These nutrients help your eyes to filter out UV blue wavelengths from sun exposure which are the most destructive. Because your body cannot make these nutrients, it is critical you get them from foods you eat and when needed, through taking these antioxidants in supplement form.

Optionals  if you have night blindness, bilberry is an herb specific to supporting vision for this purpose.  Ginkgo, Gotu Kola, and Turmeric, all are supportive of vision, hearing, and the brain.  These together will thin the blood, improve circulation, and prevent brain lesions.

Using the Herbal Eyebright Formula– 2 Methods of Use

These drops can be diluted and used as an eyedrop (Method No. 1) periodically throughout the day or drops may be mixed with water and used with an eyewash cup (Method No. 2) to bathe the eyes. Both are acceptable but the drops are easiest for busy lives and those who have to leave the home for work. I will cover both ways, first the eyedrop method and secondly how to use an eyewash.

  1. Eye Drop Solution
  2. Eyewash

No. 1  Eye Drop Solution– You can also use Organic Sulfur Eye Drop Solution combined with this recipe for added benefits to combat eye dryness, cataracts, glaucoma, vision preservation, and anti-aging of the eye tissue. For this recipe See POST 201

Supplies

  1. (1)  1/8 to 1/4 oz. glass dropper bottle
  2. Distilled water
  3. Pan
  4. Glass Bowl
  5. Herbal Eyewash Drops (concentrate)

Bring a small pan of water to a boil and remove it from the heat. This can also be done by heating water in the microwave. Drop in the glass bottle, wait 5 minutes, drop in the dropper, wait 5 minutes, and remove, setting on a clean surface or towel. I like to recommend the 1/8 oz dropper bottle. It is the perfect portable size and doesn’t waste product.

Add drops of Herbal Eyebright Formula Concentrate to the clean bottle.  Follow by adding sterilized water to fill the bottle, leaving enough room to add the dropper without overflowing. You can buy Sterilized Water at the drugstore or make it by simply boiling distilled water and cooling it.

  • 1/4 oz bottle add 5 drops
  • 1/8 oz bottle add 3 drops

Shake to mix. This can be used at room temperature, throughout the day. If you store it in the refrigerator between uses it is effective for up to 3 days. Otherwise, if using it unrefrigerated throughout the day, discard at the end of the day and make it fresh each morning. I like to make it fresh each day but either are fine.

Throughout the day, use the product as an eye drop by adding 1 drop to each eye 1-5 times per day. Once you tolerate this product strength well and do not experience irritation, increase the concentrate drops by 2 drops. A stronger solution is easily tolerated as your eyes get used to the process. Work at increasing the number of concentrate drops in the mix to reach a goal of 1/3 Herbal Eyewash Formula Concentrate to 2/3 Sterile or Distilled Water.

What to Expect When First Starting the Drops

The first morning after using the eye drops, you may experience some crustiness. This easily washes off with soap and water while showering or washing your face. You can lay a wet washcloth across your eyes to soften and loosen the crustiness as well. This matter is debris that sloughs off the surface of the eyes and is normal. If the product mixed is too strong or causes any discomfort, simply dilute.

Shelf Life of the Prepared Eye Drops

If you keep the Eye Drops at room temperature during the day, you need to make it fresh every day and use it within a 12 hour window. If you are keeping it refrigerating it between uses, it has a shelf life for up to 3 days. If you do not prefer this method of using the drops directly in the eyes, it is recommended you use the Eye Wash Method instead. Both are effective ways to use the product.

No. 2  Eyewash Cup Method

Supplies

  1. (2) Eyewash Cups
  2. Distilled water
  3. Pan
  4. Glass bowl
  5. Herbal Eyewash Drops
  6. Towel

Instructions

  1. Bring some distilled water in a small pan to a boil. Remove from heat and set aside
  2. Place both eye cups into the hot distilled water, time 3 minutes and remove.  Set the eye cups upright on a clean towel
  3. Bring some distilled water to a boil, using just enough to fill each eye cup.  Fill each eye cup to approximately 3/4 full.  Allow to cool to 108 degrees and add eyewash drops into the eye cup.
  4. Allow to cool to room temperature.
  5. You may wash one eye at a time, or both at the same time.  The process is the same either way.  Sit down in a relaxing chair.  Bend over so your are over the eyecups looking down at them.  Taking each eyecup, place securely over your eye(s).  While holding in place, sit up to an upright position with your head slightly back as if looking towards the ceiling.  Bat your eyes in the eyewash solution.
  6. When complete, lean forward and place the eyecups on the towel.  Lay a dry cloth over your eyes and pat dry.

Use the eyewash 1-5 times per day.  Gradually increase eyewash to give eyes time to slough off bacteria and matter.  If you apply too much right away, the result can be more crusty eyes and a glue-like matter, especially upon waking. When adding the drop(s) to the eyewash cup, be sure the distilled water is first boiled.  Let it cool to 108 degrees and then add the drop(s). Test this with a meat thermometer.  After adding the drop let the mixed solution sit to cool until it reaches room temperature, then proceed. Eye drops are USED AT ROOM TEMPERATURE ONLY. DO NOT ADD HOT DROPS TO YOUR EYES OR COLD DROPS DIRECTLY FROM THE REFRIGERATOR.

How to Begin and to Strengthen Dosage of the Eyewash Solution

The number of drops in each eyecup begin with ONE.  The amount of times you use this process in the beginning is ONE.

Although you begin with one drop, your goal is to increase the strength of the eyedrop solution and the number of applications per day. Increase as you are able, up to as many as 5 drops in each eyecup and up to 1 to 5 times each day.  In the beginning, the drops may burn. It will not be a lasting effect.  You will notice most likely, that your eyes will be crusty when you wake up each morning.  This is normal.  Give your eyes a few days to adjust before increasing frequency or drop count.  If your eyes are crusty when you wake up, lay a warm wet cloth over eyes to soften and loosen material.  Rinse with warm water.  Increasing the drops is for the purpose of dissolving film in the eyes including abnormal tissue buildup, bacteria, and cataracts.

This is a long process but it has been used by thousands of people for decades.  If you do not have time for 4 to 5 times of application each day, use morning and night as your process. Drops are extracted with ethyl alcohol.

After each use, rinse the eye cups and set aside to dry.  Each time the eye cups are used, they must be sterilized as described above.  If you are above sea level over 3500, allow the cups to set in the hot distilled water for 5 minutes instead of 3.
