Supplements

Supplements that may benefit helping to lower cholesterol include, and there are more but these are a good starter;  The list is not meant to be taken in full but to pick and choose which are best suited for your individual needs.  O3 + OV should be taken by everyone with these issues.  These enzymes together help to clear out veins and arteries and maintain healthy cardiovascular function.

  • Organic 8 Greens– 1 level to 1 rounded tsp per day shaken into juice or water
  • Herbs:  bitter melon, garlic, alfalfa, cayenne, psyllium, fenugreek, licorice root, hawthorn berry, green tea, artichoke leaf, galangal, Siberian ginseng, fo-ti root, ginger root
  • Co-Q10  100 to 250mg per day average
  • Red Rice Yeast- 600mg 2 x per day
  • Bromelain  taken between meals to help break down plaque in the veins and arteries which also digesting scar tissue after surgery (after healing is fully complete) 500mg taken 2 or 3 x daily on empty stomach
  • Serrapeptase  120,000units taken 2 times daily on an empty stomach to remove plaque in veins and arteries, reduce scar tissue after surgery (after healing is fully complete)
  • Chromium Picolinate– increases the metabolism of cholesterol, 200mcg. 1 x per day with food
  • Soy Lecithin- (NON-GMO)  using 1 rounded teaspoon granules (put in mouth and simply wash down with a little water) before a meal that contains fat-  emulsifies fat
  • Enzymes-  high dose for 3-6 months;  Use either O3 or O45, 3 tabs with water 2 hours after a meal 3 x per day.  Take OV (vascular) 2 tablets upon rising with water on an empty stomach, do not eat for 1 hour
  • Nutritional or Brewer’s Yeast- great nutrition, brewer’s yeast contains the most chromium, and B complex contained in both
  • Fish Oil capsules, as on bottle or as cardiovascular doctor recommends
  • Fulvic Humic Liquid  trace minerals and balance to the systems of the body, 1 tablespoon on an empty stomach each morning, may be taken with OV, do not eat food for 30 minutes
  • D3  take 5000mg once daily with fish oil with food.  D3 supports over 2000 chemical reactions in the body.  D3 can be stored by the body but it cannot be produced.  Sunlight is not usually enough to ensure adequate vitamin D.
  • Drink distilled water for the first year then switch to filtered water, drink a minimum of 1/2 gallon per day which includes teas
  • Cellfood  liquid drops support oxygen, electrolytes, and enzymes for detoxifying the system, 12 drops in 16 oz. distilled water AM and PM, drinking between meals, included in the 1/2 gallon per day water allowance
  • Vitamin C-  1000mg per day
  • Taking psyllium husk and other fibers will help lower cholesterol and blood sugar.  Psyllium is either taken as a husk powder, SHAKEN into juice or water, or in capsules which can be taken as easily as 1 or more with a meal.  Psyllium fiber taken on an empty stomach 30-60 minutes before meals can help reduce constipation or diarrhea.  Taken with foods it will help reduce cholesterol.  A high fiber diet is excellent to aid in reducing high cholesterol, high blood sugar, and high blood pressure.
  • If the heart is affected, Hawthorn Berry is a very good herb to include;  1 teaspoon per day powder or 2 pills 2-3 times per day, 30 minutes before a meal
  • Vitamin E  400IU once daily with food
  • ALA (alpha lipoic acid)  helps reduce fatty liver, take also with MSM or Organic Sulfur
  • Organica Sulfur or MSM  1 teaspoon, 1-2 times per day on an empty stomach with water
  • If the kidneys and high blood pressure accompany the cholesterol, there are also many other herbs and foods for this such as celery seed, hibisicus flower, chanca piedra, garlic, uva ursi, juniper berry, parsley leaf, parsley root, and more.  High blood pressure can be sourced by high cholesterol and not the kidneys, or both.
  • Weight Loss  if you need to also lose weight, drink green tea with ginger root which helps shed pounds, most drink 3 cups per day.  Also reduce grains and all breads, pasta, etc, with the exception of oat bran and oatmeal which can be very helpful in lowering both high triglycerides and cholesterol.  Eating ONE serving of raw nuts per day has been found to help a person to lose weight.  Using more than ONE serving instead adds weight.  Garcinia Cambogia is a superfruit that aids in effective weight loss.  Green Coffee Bean Extract is also an excellent weight loss supplement
  • Indigestion- Try Before meals-  taking a digestive enzyme  (such as O-1, O-1HCL, O-3, or O-45), it may be helpful for some.  If you have low stomach acid, you can try an old remedy using  1 tablespoon of Bragg’s unpasteurized organic apple cider vinegar and 8 oz. of water taken 15 minutes before 1 or 2 meals.  If vinegar gives you indigestion, then your acid is too high in your stomach;  take an anti-acid or 1 teaspoon of baking soda in water to quickly neutralize the acid if needed.  If you feel better and digestion improves with vinegar, you may have low stomach acid and the vinegar will help you digest protein better and reduce indigestion.  If vinegar works for you, you also do what some find helpful and add a teaspoon to a tablespoon of honey as well.  If you experience flatulence after eating, try 2 Activated Charcoal capsules.  This will generally neutralize gas. If indigestion is a problem, add ½ teaspoon of baking soda to the mix. The baking soda must be labeled aluminum free or else it is not.  Do not use baking soda with food unless you have LOW stomach acid because it neutralizes acid.   Baking Soda is an anti-acid for those with acid reflux/GERD.  Choose one of these to try but do not combine.  With some experimenting, you should find a remedy that is helpful.
  • Turmeric  1 pill with meals, 1 to 3 times per day.  This is also anti-inflammatory.  The Anti-Inflammatory Formula contains turmeric and may be substituted for the single turmeric. Anti-Inflammatory Formula contains;  turmeric, Ceylon cinnamon, fenugreek, and ginger root.  This formula helps inflammation and indigestion.  May be taken with or without food.
  • Chromium  if blood sugar high, take brewer’s yeast as a supplement in your smoothie
  • Essential Oils can also be used internally as a supplement- If you are on medications, you will want to be sure these can be used in your case because of the powerful strength of essential oils. If you are not advised to use them, reserve use externally such as to the bottom of the feet or added into massage oil–

Therapeutic grade Essential Oils as a Supplement—
These oils are used for high triglycerides and cholesterol by putting drops in a “0” or “00” empty “capsule and taking after a little food 1-3 times per day- frankincense, helichrysum, lemongrass, rosemary, clove, ginger, oregano, thyme, clary sage, myrrh. Most use 3-5 drops 1, 2 or 3 times per day. Most results are experienced in 2 to 6 months. Oils should be changed every 30 days using different combinations for best results.
