Feeling Stressed Out? Suffer From Daytime Anxiety?
Using natural products for anxiety can cause drowsiness, just as taking a prescribed medicine. Here are a few ideas to help you combat anxiety during the day-
1. Valerian- if you take 2 or 3 capsules for bedtime, take only 1 pill with water during the day, and allow 45 minutes for effects.
2. Kava Kava– use the same as Valerian and use only 1 pill
3. Sleepy Flowers Tea– yes, we use this for gearing down for bed, but did you know drinking a cup during the day when you are feeling high-strung can reduce anxiety? Sometimes you need to just use a little less of the dried tea, but it works really well.
4. Anti-Anxiety Tea– this tea not only helps you to reduce anxiety, but increases your alertness. It helps you remain more calm and focused. It is great before competitive sports as well.
5. Take a Magnesium supplement with breakfast along with a B50 or B100 supplement. Both of these will settle the nerves
6. Use more Coconut Oil— put it in smoothies, dissolve in hot tea or coffee, or simply take a teaspoon by mouth just before eating each meal.
7. Supplement Fish Oil. Fish Oil also combats depression. In many studies, fish oil was found to be just as effective as anti-depressants.
8. Kratom- using Bali in small does. This is energetic and euphoric so a small amount works great. Larger amounts can help with sleep so limit your intake by day. Everyone is different so finding your individual dose is necessary. If you normally take 2 grams, just take 1 gram and take it with another supplement like 1 Valerian capsule for example.
9. Kratom- using any Red strain with about 30% White added or Green. Red can be very helpful for anxiety but can make you sleepy. By adding in some White or Green along with the Red, it is calming, yet can in the right proportion, eliminate the sleepy-factor.
10. You should probably NOT use Maeng Da or Yohimbe. Both of these are energetic and will likely make an edgy person more edgy.
11. 5HTP- take 50 mg or 100 mg with water. This also helps with serotonin production.
12. Mucuna Capsules– 1 capsule AM and PM can help reduce edginess and calms anxiety without any psychoactive herbal effects. Taken along with 1 Lithium Orotate per day, can also be beneficial.
13. GABA- taken with magnesium 1 hour before bed on an empty stomach may help stop waking up in the night. If this doesn’t do the trick- add Valerian OR Kava Kava to the combination. In addition to reducing anxiety, this will also promote sounder sleep.
14. Wild Lettuce– this can be taken as a capsule, prepared as a tea, or even smoked. It is relaxing and is a mild herb for reducing anxiety especially by day. Average dose is 2 capsules on an empty stomach.
15. Phenibut- using 250 mg to 500 mg in a dose can be taken 1-4 times per day. You have to usually have a scale for this item as it is available in powder mostly. It mixes well with L-Theanine and all of the anti-anxiety herbs as well. If you take this product for 3 consecutive days, stop taking it for 2 days. This prevents building tolerance and helps the product help you and not make you dependent. Must be taken on an empty stomach.
