Tianeptine- Nootropic Depression & Anxiety

Also See POST 211 for a detailed list of Nootropics and their purposes
What is a Nootropic?  Nootropics are known commonly as Smart Drugs, because they simply put, make us smarter. However there are other benefits to because they work directly on the brain through the receptors, neurotransmitters, and proteins. Nootropics is an umbrella term for a class of supplemental chemicals. Some Nootropics are naturally-occuring while others are man made. Nootropics are compounds that give cognitive benefits to the human brain. A man named Dr. Corneliu E. Giurgea, first coined the term Nootropic. To qualify as a Nootropic, a compound MUST do 5 things according to Dr. Giurgea;
  1. Enhance memory and ability to learn.
  2. Help the brain function under disruptive conditions, such as hypoxia (low oxygen) and electroconvulsive shock.
  3. Protect the brain from chemical and physical assaults, such as anti-cholinergic drugs and barbiturates.
  4. Increase the efficacy of neuronal firing control mechanisms in cortical and sub-cortical regions of the brain.
  5. Possess few or no side effects and be virtually non-toxic.

We have added Tianeptine to our product line because of the number of customers we have with major depression, anxiety, and mood problems. Tianeptine is a Nootropic compound which has a direct affect on the brain receptors and

neurotransmitters. It is compatible with other products for added benefits, which can be found under the Nootropics Post 211.
More on Tianeptine;
Tianeptine is a powerful Nootropic compound that is used to treat major depressive & anxiety disorders. Persons who live in chronic pain often develop anxiety, and some depression because of there being “no end in sight”. It is common yet for others with addiction issues, during recovery, to unfold a level of anxiety followed by depression they may have been unaware of. Social Anxiety can be crippling. The good news is that with Tianeptine and Piracetam, you have options aside from pharmaceuticals. Kratom is a miracle plant in our view and when combined with Nootropics, it can help place control with the individual rather than a medical professional. If you need medical attention, be sure to get it. This information is not a replacement for sound medical advise. For people struggling with anxiety or mild depression, Tianeptine can have significant mood enhancing effects.

Tianeptine has been found beneficial for those with asthma, IBS, and to help in the management of Parkinson’s Disease. It can increase dopamine which improves mood, however with more dopamine, even when it is low and is needed, anxiety can develop. Tianeptine, because it works on both, helps to prevent anxiety from an increase in dopamine and is compatible with mucuan to assist the brain in producing its own dopamine. No one really knows how Tianeptine works, it just does.

Tianeptine has been found to help with drug-induced seizures, memory recall, ADD, ADHD, and short term memory problems. Taurine, an amino acid, has also been found to help reduce anxiety while reducing the risk of seizure which makes both of these compatible with CBD.

Combining products; This is known as Stacking. When Stacking, add 1 product to your regiment about every 5 days, or even 7, to determine how each benefits you and whether it is a winning combination for your needs. To begin, you can easily start with 3 or 4 items as your base. People who take Kratom for any number of reasons may find that Tianeptine combines well with GABA, Magnesium, and B100 as a base, along with their Kratom. Adding other Nootropics and supplements can only enhance your end results- to alleviate discomfort from anxiety, depression, and withdrawal from substances.
Tianeptine has been found very useful for postmenopausal women who have developed depression. It is especially helpful when used along with natural herbal hormone replacements, such as Maca or herbal blends. It can reduce appetite as well which combats the menopausal sudden weight gain many women complain of.
So What Do We Know About Tianeptine and How it Helps With Depression
There is so much we still don’t know about Tianeptine. What we do know however, leads to exciting prospects for the public to better control anxiety and depression. This is what we DO know;

1. Modulates Glutamate Receptors including AMPA and NMDA
2. Normalizing to Glutamate levels.
3. Potentiates AMPA Receptor function in the frontal cortex (why it may be beneficial to those with ADD, ADHD, and short term memory and recall deficiency)
4. Activates both the Mu and delta-opioid receptors which results in its anti-depressant effects, also again, helpful for those with a history of addiction or entering recovery
5. Increases the release of BDNF in the brain. BDNF is active in the hippocampus, cortex, and forebrain. This area function is critical to memory, learning, and higher complex thinking. The BDNF gene provides instructions for making a protein found in the brain and spinal cord. BDNF is called a brain-derived neurotrophic factor which promotes the survival of nerve cells. Tianeptine may be beneficial combined with Myelin Glandular, Monolaurin, Lion’s Mane,and Turmeric- to help stimulate healthy nerves and brain functions. This protein it vitally important because it promotes the survival of nerve cells (neurons) by playing a role in the growth, maturation, and then maintenance of these cells

6. Enhances serotonin reuptake – it helps soak up serotonin from outside of the cell, increasing serotonin inside the cells

7. Enhances the mesolimbic release of dopamine and the potentiating dopamine receptors (pleasure center)
8. Increases responsiveness of the a1-adrenergic system which plays a role in depressive illnesses.
9. Believed to increase norepinephrine, often a goal in many SSRI’s
10. PTSD- 37.5 mg. was found to be an effective therapeutic dose
Tianeptine Dosage
Tianeptine is taken on an empty stomach with water and if planning to eat a meal, wait for 1 hour before eating after taking the product.
Common Dosage:  12mg capsule or powder as an initial dose taken 3 times daily. For more serious issues, 24mg 3 x daily is a good dose which is commonly effective.
PTSD requires a higher single dose of 3 capsules 1-3 times in a single day, opting for the low end of 1-2 times as needed.
For anxiety and depression, 12mg can be taken various times in the day with a 4 hour window between doses and two hours after eating or one hour before eating food. For depression, allow 12 weeks of use to evaluate your results.
Maximum Use: Do not exceed more than 100mg in a single dose and no more than 300mg in a single day.

    I’ve used the Tianeptine Sulfate and seen unparalleled results. The websites I have used in the past have all pulled specifically “Tianeptine Sulfate” from their shelves though. Anyone know of alternative Tianeptine products or any products in general that have the same effects?

      try Piracetam and Phenibut, both are very useful nootropics with similar benefits, not Phenibut as much for memory but very good for anxiety and insomnia
