Heavy Metal Removal With Foods
Heavy metals are contaminating our foods through the use of petro chemicals, pesticides, and other commercial fertilizers. The same things that are destroying organic sulfur in dirt are also depositing dangerous and cancer causing agents into soils and onto leaves of plants which we eat via the grocery store. Lighting and cleanliness in the produce section is no indication of whether the foods you are buying contain volumes of heavy metals. With arsenic contamination on the rise, and warnings to not even allow children to drink more than 1 cup of apple juice per week (but they say that level is safe– really? ), discarding this information is now just not an option. We need to buy organic foods whenever possible.
Plants in soil are seeking out minerals but they also collect metals. If heavy metals are present in excess, the plants will absorb them and transport them to you by way of digestion. The way to avoid toxicity from metals is to avoid farming practices responsible. All heavy metals are not alike. Aluminum is not considered a heavy metal but is still toxic.
Aluminum is commonly found in;
- antiacids
- vaccinations
- nasal sprays
- anti-caking agents in ingredients
- cookware
- non-aluminum baking soda
- aspirin
- astringents
- leavening agents such as baking powder
This is the reason why non-aluminum baking soda is of course recommended, especially when using it as a supplement and anticancer, alkalizing product. Whether in simple cooking, or as a supplement be sure to use only non-aluminum baking soda.
Removing Heavy Metals, Toxins, Pesticide Residue, Chemicals and Unmetabolized Hormones
The material following is a list of foods for specific metal removal. If you have been found to have toxic levels of any of these carcinogens in blood tests or hair analysis, focus on the specific foods on a regular basis. If you just want to remove metals on a continuous basis, be sure to incorporate these foods and herbs into your overall diet. Certain levels of heavy metals occur in foods and nature which is normal. The ranges that are showing up on the shelves are NOT natural and a result of commercial farming practices.
- Chlorella This algae is the highest known source of chlorophyll and removes lead, uranium, mercury and cadmium. If you eat a lot of fish, you should include chlorella in your supplemental regime. Also be aware that only 4 to 7% of this algae is usable by the human body unless the cell wall is what is called “cracked”. The only type of chlorella we offer is “cracked cell” organic chlorella. Chlorella also kills Salmonella.
- Spirulina second in line for its chlorophyll content, removes arsenic
- Bugleweed removes heavy metals, especially when the thyroid is involved. Bugleweed is a medicinal herb for hyperthyroidism. Do not use bugleweed if you have HYPOTHYROIDISM or low thyroid, DO NOT use bugleweed. If you have heavy metal toxicity which has caused HYPERthyroidism, bugleweed helps to remove heavy metals and slows the thyroid from overproducing thyroid hormone.

- Glutathione removes cadmium, iron, arsenic, mercury. You cannot take a glutathione supplement but must ingest certain amino acids which helps your body make glutatione. Glutathione as a supplement is not digested in a useful way. See Post No. 14 for detailed information. The amino acids are needed for you to make glutatione-

If you are a vegetarian or vegan, you may want to consider re-incorporating eggs and fish back into your diet. When raised properly, these clean protein sources are easily digested and will enhance your liver’s capacity to produce these valuable enzymes.
- Citric Acid, Citrus Fruits and Seeds removes cadmium and lead

Combine
- 1 cup of coconut water
- 2 handfuls of greens; spinach, chard, or collard greens
- knob of ginger

- green apple with the seeds
- 2 Brazil Nuts
- 1/2 fresh lemon, peeled and keep the seeds. If using an organic use 1/4 lemon and keep the peel and the seeds
