Yunnan Black Tea– QUARTER POUND BULK–  Certified Organic-  is one of the oldest teas known, first produced over 1500 years ago.  Yunnan is a premium grade tea harvested from the Yunnan Province in China.  What makes Yunnan such a special tea? Yunnan promotes better gastrointestinal function. It helps to reduce edema and increase urination. If appetite is poor or when recovering from having been ill, this tea can help to improve your appetite in addition to being delicious. Most bold teas are not referred to as delicate. Yunnan is an exception. It brews a deep coppery infusion with bold yet delicate spicy finish. This strong robust tea can be enjoyed with a dash of cream and serves well as an after-dinner-tea to complement a fine meal and energize the evening.

Steeping Temperature: 206 F degrees
Steep Time:  3-4 minutes. Always repeat-steep your tea after the initial cup. After removing the tea leaf from the first cup, follow by adding your “used” tea leaf back into your cup and add water multiple times until you have prepared a minimum of 3 cups or until it “tastes like nothing”. Then you know you have extracted the full broad spectrum of health promoting compounds, antioxidants, and polyphenols from the leaf.

Serving Size:  1 tsp/8 oz. water/average serving use 2 grams and for extra bold infusion or to prepare iced tea, use 4 grams
