Essiac (easy-ak or ess-e-ak)– 1 oz.– Certified Organic–  Nurse Rene Caisse, discoverer of the Essiac herbal formula, helped hundreds at her clinic in Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada.

Contains–  Certified Organic Blend;  burdock root cut, sheep sorrel cut, (Turkey) rhubarb root cut, slippery elm bark

Directions:

To prepare Essiac Tea:

  1. Boil 1 quart filtered water or distilled water in a stainless steel pot.
  2. Stir in 1 oz of tea (by weight), cover pot.
  3. Boil 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir. Keep covered and let sit for 12 hours at room temperature.
  5. Stir, cover, and bring to a boil again. Remove from heat, and strain through a mesh colander.
  6. Funnel liquid into clean amber glass bottle and cap. Tighten cap after cooling.
  7. Refrigerate. Mixture will stay fresh for 1 week if refrigerated. Make each batch, fresh weekly.

Directions for drinking:  Standard Dosage

  1. Shake herbal tea to mix well. Add 1 fl oz tea to 2 oz. of filtered or distilled water.
  2. Drink 1 dose daily on an empty stomach, preferably 30 minutes before bedtime.

  1. Shake herbal tea to mix well. Add 2 fl oz tea to 2 oz. of filtered or distilled water.
  2. Drink 1 or 2 doses daily on an empty stomach, preferably one in the AM and again, 30 minutes before bedtime.

Ingredients: Organic burdock root, organic sheep sorrel, organic (Turkey) rhubarb root and organic slippery elm bark.

Warning: Pregnant women should consult their physician. Should use only stainless steel utensils when preparing this tea.

This product contains Rhubarb Root (Rheum palmatum). Read and follow directions carefully. Do not use if you have or develop diarrhea, loose stools, or abdominal pain because Rhubarb Root may worsen these conditions and be harmful to your health. Consult your physician if you have frequent diarrhea or if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition. Individuals with a history of kidney stones should use this herb cautiously.
