*When steeping tea, use more tea if you want stronger tea. Steeping it longer only makes a bitter brew. Remove your first steeping in the appropriate number of minutes. After drinking your 1st cup, now put your tea leaf back into the cup, add water and repeat steep. Most people find that so long as they remove the tea leaf in the correct number of minutes with the first steep, they can leave the tea leaf in with the 2nd steep and just continue to add water to the cup a few times. As the tea is repeat steeped, expect it to be weaker. Gathering the benefits of tea leaf by repeat steeping will assure you that will get all of the antioxidants, polyphenols, and anti-cancers from the plant. Most of the caffeine is out in the first steep. The first steep is the most potent which is attributed to its bitterness if over-steeped.
