Kuding Imperial Rolled Leaf is a rare and expensive specialty tea, aged and rolled into a toothpick shape. In history, Ku Ting was only offered to royalty. It is prescribed in Chinese medicine as an extremely effective medicinal beverage for lowering cholesterol and blood pressure. Researchers have found that people who drink Kuding Imperial daily have a lower incidence of heart attack and stroke. It is a bitter stalk with strong flavor. To prepare, use one “toothpick” steeped for 5 minutes or longer in 16 oz. of water and drink 1/2 in the mid morning and the other 1/2 in the mid afternoon. Leaf unfurls as tea steeps for an interesting medicinal experience. 1 oz. supplies between 62-80 rolled leaves.
