Honeysuckle has been known to reduce fertility and has been use for birth control.
Honeysuckle is an effective digestive aid for various disorders including pain and inflammation of the small intestine. It is mildly laxative and helps to alleviate constipation.
Honeysuckle is a remedy for the respiratory system to combat pneumonia, lung congestion, flu, swine flu, fevers, colds and flu. It is used to reduce encephalitis (swelling of the brain), fevers, and colds. Honeysuckle is synergistic with with other respiratory herbs such as lungwort, pleurisy root and mullein.
